So. I’m officially 36 now. Wow. I mean, it is the oldest I’ve ever been right? I was so shocky that I booked a week off work to be able to deal with the situation! Yeah right, that’s why I booked a week off! Bahahahahahahaha. I booked a week off to catch up on my homework. I finally managed to get enrolled in my Crim course. I tried three times previously but the course kept being full before I got there. The Crim course is a paced course too so I definitely want to make sure I’m done my English and Psych classes to ensure I have enough time to give it my best.

Also, Cheryl and George got a brand new baby girl. Shewas only 6 days old when they got her. She’s a beautiful little girl, only weighed 5 lb 9 oz when she was born. They’ve named her Breanna Marie Katherine. Cheryl and George are still in shock of course. How could you not be in shock. They got the call on the Wednesday that they might have a baby, come meet her on Thursday, they took her home on Friday morning. No rush! Yikes.

On the knitting front I’m still working along on Butterfly. It’s coming out quite nicely. I also ordered another 10 balls of the Kureyon to make a sweater from an old Knitters magazine. I’ve been working very hard to finish mom’s crochet pineapple sweater for her birthday. I guess that’s about it for this evening. I bought some Purdy’s chocolates and Stitch N’ Bitch Nation for my birthday so I’m off to do a little reading and shnorking down of some chocolate. Nighty Night!

A tasteful bag? A skinny spring scarf? Hmmmm, what to do, what to do! Posted by Hello

As you can see there was some stash enhancement. And this and the picture below are from the next to last stash enhancement. I’ve been on a bender lately. I hate it when you get a bit blue and the retail therapy starts. I’ll try to get picis of the newest additions of yarn in the next couple of days. Let’s just say Fleece Artist, 100% silk, hand dyed. Oh yeah baby! It is phenomenal.

Not much else going on. School work, o/t for year end at work, bleah bleah bleah. Oh, sorry that should have been blah blah blah. Freudian slip. Going to Ikea today for some organizational assistance. Every spring like clockwork I get the urge to tidy and put everything in it’s place. I want three of these little numbers to control the closet sprawl. I’m also thinking boxes or baskets for the closet shelf where I keep my jeans and sweaters to stop the sprawl that occurs there. Maybe something like this or this.

Okay, time to go have a shower and such. Maybe work on Clapotis a bit before I head out to Ikea.

So as you can see from the picis below bowling was in the offing this past weekend. Ten of us from work participated in a bowlathon to raise money for Big Brothers. We had a gas and raised over $1100, so it was a win win.

On Saturday I also did a serious stash enhancing expedition. I went to the lovely Knit Cafe in Langley and it just so happened that it was their once per year sale and I lucked out to be there. $185 later! Yikes. Nice stuff though. I picked up a get to know hemp kit from Lana Knits. I also scored 13 balles of Tosca in a sunset colourway. Gourgeous! And of course various bits and bobs. Some loverly handpainted linen/cotton blend that will be a bag. And of course scarf making items. ‘Cause you just can’t have enough scarves.

I may only have one neck (as DH so kindly pointed out), but it will be well warmed and look pretty! I also hit Michael’s and got some beads and such and made stitch markers. So much fun. I love them, and they are so pretty. I fear I am getting all girly in my old age!

Okay, off to work. I’ll try to post yarn picis later today or tomorrow.
