Okay, I’m only here ’cause I really needed to post this. Are they not the cutest darn things you’ve ever seen? I love them.

So, this is what happens in my office when you give women candy necklaces. All hell breaks loose and some of the men folk start asking if they can go get their camcorders! Yikes. Posted by Hello

Sock Yarn Goodness!

So, let’s talk about addiction. Let’s talk about being a fibre junkie. Let’s get right down to brass tacks and say it: Hi, My name is Tammy, and I have a problem. There, phew, I feel better.

Now some folks may view joining a sock swap as a terrific way to use up a bit of the “stash”. No! Let me say it again, NO! The stash is only there in case of emergencies! We must not dip into the stash. So, okay then, I need to buy some yarn for a pair of socks if I may not dip into the stash.

Only enough yarn for one pair of socks? No! Let me say that again, NO! What if the new yarn comes and it’s different than on the ‘puter screen and you don’t like it. Order several and make an informed decision which one you like best.

Oh but wait, if that’s the one you like best maybe you should keep that one and use a different one for your sock pal. Or, maybe you should get more of that one so you and your sock pal can both have socks out of that yarn.

Sigh, are you seeing it? Are you feeling my pain yet? I think you are. I’m going to go have dinner and continue fondling the yummy yarn. I’m sick I tell you, sick.

However, in my defence, some of the yarn above was from the stash. However, however, said yarn is back in the stash. Going outside for pictures was the first time that yarn had seen sunshine, I tell you what! Bahahahahahahahaha!

Hello! My name is Chomper, and contrary to that rather unfortunate name, I do not bite. I’m amazingly loving and will fall asleep in your hand. It’s true, he does that, and he snores! Posted by Hello

We have contact!

See down there a couple of posts, that little comment. That’s from my Sock-a-Pal-2-za person. Sneaky yes? I love this cloak and dagger stuff with socks! Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!

The update over at Blue Blog is amazing today. Wow, I can’t believe someone is done already, very impressive. I’m awaiting Mr. Canada Post Man to bring my my yarn. I’ve got two different orders on the way, one from Knit Picks and one from Wool and Needlework. Any excuse to buy yarn, I swear! I think I’ve got the pattern picked out. Sock Bug is amazing, so amazing. A true artist. I’m going to use one of her patterns, just not sure which one yet. Once I’ve chosen the yarn I’ll know decided which socks I’m making.

It’s just all so exciting! Eeeeeeepppppppp! I can’t contain myself. Come on Mr. Canada Post Man! Bring me yarn! :)

Huh, and I didn’t even go to an English boarding school!

Sockapal-2-za

I’m back, I’m back! Let’s see, okay….

- midterm – check
- big fat assignment – check
- life back to normal? – ummmm, okay, semi check!

We now return you you to your regularly scheduled blogging. Let’s talk about some yarn shall we? I bought WAY to much of this stuff. I love this cotton, once it’s washed up it’s like and old friendly pair of jeans. Yummers. I went with the Vicuna and a bit of the chocolate. The vicuna will be a cardigan I think, the chocolate, either a bag or a knapsack.

On other fabulous news, I’m in my very first knit a long. I’m a big girl now! What a tonne o’ fun. I’m pouring over patterns, randomly ordering sock yarn, (I love the excuse to buy more yarn!). I think I’m going to make the Broadripple ones. I’ve like them for a long time, so cute. I’ve ordered some Regia ringel and I’m just waiting for it to arrive.

Another aside, I’ve been ordering from Wool and Needlework a lot lately. No affiliation, blah blah blah, but a very happy customer. Super fast service, prices are truly excellent, and they have Noro out the hoop, which is important to me. I cannot get enough of that stuff! I bought four balls of Kureyon colour 154 a couple of weeks ago. Fabulous! The orange and purple is amazing. Also, for those Canadians out there, they are in Canada so no nasty border fee surprises. And for you folks in the US, our little ol’ dollar means you get an even better deal. Win win I tell you.

Okay, off to pay some attention to my house which has been sadly neglected over the last two weeks so that I could try to get a decent grade in my Crim course. I’m moving the birds from one bedroom to another, big job! They get so excited when you move ‘em all around though. I guess it’s sort of like moving into a new house for humans, right?

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elann will be the death of my Visa. Everytime I think I’ve got that yarn acquisition thing under control, BAM! Today was Pakucho cotton. Sigh, it’s loverly though!
