I bought 2 skeins of Kauni, each one is 290 grams. Yes, that is a lot. I’m a biggish girl and I wanted enough left over for a hat and maybe some mitts. What I failed to realized is just how big two skeins of 290 grams each would be in ball/cake format. Frickin’ huge! My swift wouldn’t support them, I had to dig out the old PVC piping on that DH made for me a few years ago. The ballwinder, man I hope I didn’t permanently do it a damage. Thesecond skein I had a break in it so it ended up being two cakes. The skein was complete, I managed to put a break in it when the PVC swift suddenly locked up solid.
It sure is pretty though.
