Happy Hallowe’en

Hope you get more treats than tricks!  Me?  I’m going to eat leftover mini chocolate bars until I’m sick.  There has to be some upside to being an adult.  Right?

Who’s with me?

Sorry, can’t blog now

I’m writing a paper on Edward Gein.  Never heard of him?  Neither had I.  Turns out he was the basis for Norman Bates, Leatherface, and * Buffalo Bill are based on.  Nice right?  I have to choose a couple of contrasting psychological theories and try to explain why this guy went freakshow and decided he needed to make furniture, apholstery, and clothing out of parts of his neighbours.  Good times!

*Seriously, the best line from a movie ever, “It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.”  What does that say about me?

Oh, it’s really nice

And then when it got a bit darker:

It’s lovely and warm and I’m completely smitten.  I’m going back upstairs now to revel in its warmth.  :)

It’s here!

The fireplace man is here and he’s installing our gas fire.  I’m so excited I could just plotz.  The cats and I will be laying around in front of it all night if you need us.  ;)

Okay, enough already!

I’ve been sick for what feels like a month and I’m not going to take it anymore!  This cold needs to vacate my premises and move on.  That is all.

Oh, wait, I saw this over on Rose-Kim Knits.  Almost peed I laughed so hard.  Finally, Janey can be famous!  I’ll be stalking her with my camera from now on.

Are you Canadian?

If you are, did you vote?  Please, please, please tell me you voted.  Super important, can’t stress it enough, probably more important than yarn.  I know, heresy, right?  It’s pretty darned important though.  Plus, it takes only a minute or two.

Please vote.  Thank you.  I shall now get off my soapbox and move over to the couch to await election results.  I loves me some election results!  Great knitting tv.  :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving.  I’ll be spending it on the couch with a pile of books and a new Christmas knitting project.  A perfect day.  :)

I might have just thrown up in my mouth a little bit

For those of you with a morbid fear of spiders (like me)  DO NOT click to read the read the rest of this post.

Success!

The furnace just came on.  You know what that means, my baby caved and turned on the heat.  Doing a little happy dance now.  ;)
