I know this because Jane is suddenly shedding an entire dog.
She must be at least a couple of pounds lighter!

Hey, that must be spinnable! Of course I hate the smell of “dog”. Ewwww… But it makes great yarn, especially when blended with some finer wool.

Went through exactly that a few weeks ago, red fur though, covered half the yard.
