I’d call that a success

We are still eating yummies from the garden.  Tonight’s vegetable selection will be this behemoth carrot:

Head of celery for scale

How fantastic is that beastie?  It is currently simmering in the pot of chicken vegetable soup that I’m cooking for dinner.  It’s supposed to snow tonight and I am craving something warm and satisfying.  Other than yarn.

In other news, the 5 days Mr. B and I had away in Ucluelet were amazing.  I think I’m actually mourning a little bit that it didn’t last longer.  I also took 437 photos and numerous videos.  It’s taking me a bit to get those uploaded and then I’ll have a heck of a job sorting them all out.  Here are a couple shots from the first couple of days.

From the front door of the cabin

A boy and his Stella

Trees bent and twisted by the winds

Oh so twisted and bent, but still living. Kind of inspiring.

Breathtaking views

Amazing sea creatures

And I'm sorry, but decomposing seaweed? Smells like rotting farts. Just saying.

Stellas in the wild

Funniest thing we saw - even our graffiti it bilingual!

If I could move there, I’d pack up tonight.  Sigh.
