Wednesday’s child is full of woe

Poor Wednesday, right?  What a burden to drag around.  I have to admit though, this week?  Wednesday is feeling a bit woey.  Probably not a word but that’s okay.  It is now.  :)

I’ve been feeling a little sporadic and in need of some pretty intensive nesting.  In the name of sporadic I give you the following:

Yarnpiggy, the Mr. and I had a little post new year’s cheesefest.

There were no fewer than 5 kinds of cheese at this soirée.   And faux champagne.  Very tasty stuff.

I also would appear to have a full fledged Wollmeise addiction problem as evidenced by this rather disgusting display:

Good thing I’m on a yarn diet for 2010.  Oy vey.

Last but not least, when I was unrolling toilet paper this morning I heard a sort of ‘ting’ kind of noise.  There on the floor was a perfect little clear plastic button.

It was trapped in the roll.  You could see the impression of it on the sheets.  Weird, right?  I wonder what else is inside that roll?  Will I end up with a whole set of buttons?  Maybe a buckle or two?

Finally, I read 42 books last year.  Definitely getting back to normal on the reading front.  I’m hoping to hit 45 this year.

  1. Whoa! 8^)

That’s a lot of Wollemeise! I’m in awe!

And the button? Weird! And also awesome, in a freaky kind of way.

  2. If you find body parts as you unroll that roll, RUN.

Because the button came off a clean room coat…that once was on someone.

PS you should take a photo of yourself rolling around in Wollmeise. Somehow just seems like the thing you should do with that sort of stash. Like rolling around in money but with less cocaine residue.

  3. Ya know, you could get a lot more reading done if you didn’t have so much Wollmeise. I could take some of it off your hands. No need to thank me, I’m just a giving sort of person.

  4. Well they say the first step is admitting you have a problem! I’ve yet to knit with that stuff so at this point all that cheese is calling to me in a much louder voice!

  5. Wow, that’s a wonderful bit of Wollmeise there. Claudia’s colours are just amazing. Feeling better about my crazy stash…

  6. really, I don’t think it’s healthy to have that much Wollmeise… I have ONE skein in the stash. There should not be such an imbalance between our stashes. Come on…hand it over.

  7. Holy shit. Did you knock over a Wollmeise truck?!
